Partnership Development Manager

Position Description

New Lab is looking for a creative, highly organized, and enthusiastic associate to join the New Lab Immersive team. The Partnership Development Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Partnerships. This multi-functional support role will work across all partnerships at New Lab.

Based in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, New Lab provides the tools and community that unite and support 500 innovative entrepreneurs, designers, and engineers representing over 100 companies in a variety of fields—including robotics, A.I., urban technology, and energy—and fosters collaboration and advancement across disciplines.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Supporting Sr. VP of Partnerships in developing and implementing an ambitious and diverse revenue strategy.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of companies, agencies and foundations through market analysis and segmentation.
  • Tracking prospects through the sales process using Salesforce and providing regular pipeline updates to accurately capture all sales activity.
  • Creating sales tools including decks and proposals developing compelling narratives and establishing brand alignment between New Lab and prospective partners.


Account management

  • Supporting the Sr. VP of Partnerships to ensure all partner objectives are met and align with the New Lab partnership philosophy for supporting our members.
  • Account managing New Lab corporate partners by on-boarding new companies, developing tailored programs, building and executing activation and leverage plans, solving any client issues, tracking timelines and budgets and presenting results and insights back to client lead.
  • Working with Sr. VP of Partnerships to develop a partnership mission / key objectives for each corporate partner to ensure the direction is clear and success can be measured.
  • Building trusted relationships with existing partners to renew, grow and develop the scope of their partnership with New Lab.
  • Producing end of year partnership reports – managing the capture of partnership activity through the year and providing data and insights to assist Sr. VP of Partnerships with renewals.
  • Providing regular interface with New Lab corporate partners to obtain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitating the coordination of and supporting in-person workshops and events to ensure that partners get the most value and support from the program.



  • Maintaining files, documents and systems across Google Drive.
  • Working with Sr. VP of Partnerships to create sales and account management tools and resources to streamline project management including partner information packs, implementation plans, event run sheets and corporate curriculum.
  • Working with New Lab’s Director of Events and Programming to manage and run New Lab corporate partner events including; holding space within New Lab, arranging catering, managing RSVP process, creating nametags, hosting events.
  • Working collaboratively with New Lab’s VP of Brand Strategy & Communications to lead the creation of timelines for delivery of marketing benefits including: blog posts, newsletter inclusion, social media, website updates etc.



  • Working with Sr. VP of Partnerships to identify new strategies and opportunities to develop and evolve the corporate partnerships program.
  • Attending industry events and develop relationships with brands, marketing and HR professionals as a New Lab representative.


Education and Experience Requirements

  • 2 – 4 years experience in account management support or sales support role.
  • Undergraduate degree (business, design or communications related field preferred).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Excel and Keynote preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google & Adobe Suites preferred.
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.

  • Excellent capacity to learn quickly, think on the fly and self teach as required.
  • A passion for innovative ideas and a broad interest in the world – including business/science/technology, design/architecture, global development, entertainment/arts – are big pluses.
  • A global soul that’s comfortable working in a startup environment.
