Operations and Finance Associate

Position Description

Reporting to the Director of Time & Space, this position is responsible for supporting key business operational functions. Crucial to this role are strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, a talent for clear communication and customer service, a strong sense of being a team player, and the ability to think critically. This role offers a unique opportunity to an individual who is seeking to gain experience in business administration, operations and financial reporting within a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manages invoicing and collections
  • Responds to inquiries from members pertaining to billing in a timely, professional and accurate manner  
  • Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of invoicing, aging accounts, collections and adjustments
  • Makes recommendations to improve the quality of invoicing and collections procedures
  • Manages communication with vendors that support the invoicing process
  • Assists with maintaining vendor records, including contracts and COIs
  • Supports the Membership Team on agreement renewals
  • Assists with accounts payable functions, including credit card reconciliation, reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy and submitting to third party accounts payable processor
  • Supports CFO in various of aspects of financial reporting, including quarterly and annual reports to investors and lenders
  • Supports internal team with ad-hoc data analysis projects, including pulling, analyzing and summarizing, data, conducting audits, and making recommendations
  • Works across the team to find insights from daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and analysis of business operations

  • College degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience


Preference will be given to candidates with a background in business administration, finance, operations or account management.
