Position Description: 


We are looking for an enthusiastic graphic design intern to join our team. This role will report to the Art Director and/or Director of Creative Production and is ideal for someone currently in design school, seeking an internship for credit for the fall 2019 semester. This position will be primarily focused on creating and maintaining digital and print assets for the New Lab brand, and assisting with any special projects that come up.

We are a tight-knit team in a startup environment operating a unique, multi-faceted business. As New Lab’s graphic design intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Art Director in updating and exporting graphics for different formats
  • Update content and graphics on New Lab’s website as needed on an ongoing basis (new events, blog posts,  team members, etc.)
  • Update graphics for upcoming member events on digital signage throughout the building
  • Create temporary signage and other display materials as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors for sourcing printed materials 
  • Assist in the creation and updating of presentations for various department needs
  • Assist in the design and creation of Mailchimp campaigns such as New Lab’s monthly newsletter, updates to the member community, etc. 
  • Assist in the creation of graphic assets for social channels
  • Maintain clean and organized files, team folders, and documentation for all projects



  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience putting together and editing presentations in Google Slides/Keynote or similar
  • Reliable and able to prioritize tasks
  • An eye for photography and ability to operate a DSLR camera and do light photo editing a plus
  • Experience updating website content through a WordPress dashboard or similar a plus
